It wasn't so long ago that every eight months I'd have a new job, a new address, or both. This is why I had and continue to have a hotmail email address.

I'm generally happy with Hotmail but I do have some misgivings. My most serious complaint is that I don't like holding a Microsoft Passport.

My second, less drastic, concern is that MSN knows that I'm female. Consequently, it treats me like an idiot.

This is what I mean: when I log out of Hotmail I am handed off to MSN Canada. MSN is a portal site and everyday it asks me questions like:

Are you really ready for marriage?
Is magnet therapy for you?
Should you kiss and tell?
Is your dog an escape artist?
Are low-carb diets dangerous?
How does your crush rate?
Are you a good word detective?
Is fat making a comeback?
Should she confess her online affair?

I have a question for MSN: don't you have any more meaningful questions?
